The Friends of Estonia (FOE) encourage the participation of any individual or United Methodist Congregation with a heart for the revival of the church in countries formerly oppressed by Communism.
The FOE is a United Methodist Church related organization that helps congregations in the United States coordinate their mutual efforts to work with Methodist churches and ministries in the Baltic country.
Working with other agencies and organizations like the General Board of Global Ministries, World Evangelism and Volunteers in Mission, FOE provides a forum where Estonian and U.S. congregations can work together to create, renew and sustain ministries in Estonia.
Churches in the United States sponsor scholarships for Estonian students; support young Estonian leaders in their efforts to experience new ministry tools and ideas; participate in construction and renovation projects; lead Vacation Bible Schools; and coordinate summer camps for at-risk children.
FOE encourages U.S. churches to participate in one of two programs designed to partner Estonian congregations and them with an eye toward the spiritual growth of both.
